海角直播 hosts national Coroners Officers Conference

A national conference and training session for the Coroners Officers Association will be held at the University of 海角直播 on Friday 1 November.

The conference has been organised by the University鈥檚 Centre for Applied Socio-Legal Studies (CASLS) from the University鈥檚 School of Social Sciences & Law, and will take place from 9am-4.30pm in Room A 200.7, First Floor, Clarendon Building, in the heart of the Middlesbrough-based University. CASLS launched the UK鈥檚 very first University course for Coroners Officers in 2000. Psychologists and a pathologist provide input to the two-week course, which explores law and procedures, the impact of Human Rights legislation and grief management.

Colin Dunnighan, Director of CASLS said: 鈥淎s 海角直播 was the first UK University to develop a Coroners Officers course, it鈥檚 appropriate that we hosting the Coroners鈥� Officers conference for the first time. We鈥檙e expecting 40 delegates from around the country.鈥�
