Health development at 海角直播
The University of 海角直播鈥檚 School of Health & Social Care, in collaboration with the Developing Practice Network (DPN), will be launching the North East & Yorkshire Region Developing Practice Network on Wednesday 2nd June 2004. The DPN network aims to improve patient care by working with nurses, midwives, health visitors and allied health professionals.
The DPN network aims to provide a 'virtual community' of interested collaborators who are committed to sharing knowledge, skills, expertise and insights achieved through practice development work. Through regular network events, it will promote, support and enable the development of practice in health care settings and is supported by the Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS), a London-based charity committed to improving health care practice.
To formally launch the DPN the School of Health & Social Care is hosting a study day entitled 鈥楶ractice development everyone鈥檚 responsibility? (Getting started, getting involved)鈥.
A diverse range of speakers from across the region will present on the following issues: what is practice development about; getting started in practice development; illustrating practice development in action: examples for practice; how to evaluate practice development and sharing and disseminating practice.
