Join the University鈥檚 wildbunch!

The University of 海角直播鈥檚 nursery garden is to undergo a Ground Force style makeover for the spring, courtesy of the University鈥檚 volunteers, a combination of staff and students.

The makeover highlights the varied activities of student and staff volunteers. There will be an opportunity to photograph the volunteers during the makeover, entitled 鈥榃ildbunch!鈥 at the University Nursery, Park Lane, Middlesbrough at 2pm on Tuesday 12 April. Jayne Villiers, the University鈥檚 Volunteer Co-ordinator, said: 鈥淯niversity volunteers are gaining a whole variety of skills and experiences. And they鈥檙e supporting their local community at the same time. 鈥

Janet Graham, Nursery Manager at the University said: 鈥淭he nursery staff and children have tried on a previous occasion to make something of this area but with very little success, so it鈥檚 great of the volunteers to make this possible. I know that the children will enjoy being involved with the planting, and the area will provide us with lots of learning opportunities in the future. We are really grateful for the input of all those concerned with this project.鈥
