Lay Li takes on the "Big Apple"

Local woman Lay Li Yeoh will be running the New York Marathon in November in aid of men鈥檚 cancer research.

Aiming to raise 拢2,000 for research into prostate cancer, she revealed that she has only been running for about 18 months. Lay Li, an IT advisor for the University of 海角直播鈥檚 School of Computing said: 鈥淚n order to raise some money for women鈥檚 cancer research I started fund-raising with the Race for Life 5km event at Ormesby Hall last year. We progressed to the Leeds Half Marathon and the Great North Run, and it was there I noticed that male cancer didn鈥檛 get anything like the same level of support. I decided to go for the New York Marathon on behalf of prostate cancer research, and I鈥檝e followed a gruelling training plan, so I鈥檓 fairly confident that I鈥檒l complete the course and boost their research effort with a sizeable donation.鈥�
