Vin Garbutt is a highly successful folk singer, who began his career in 1963 aged 15 in º£½ÇÖ±²¥ folk clubs. Vin has been º£½ÇÖ±²¥'s roving folk ambassador for over 30 years, performing worldwide from º£½ÇÖ±²¥ to Australia. His songs are largely inspired by the people and culture of º£½ÇÖ±²¥ and North Yorkshire.
Lucy Owens, the University's Acting Alumni Officer, said: "Vin will share his career story interspersed with song. He'll show how a performer can achieve the lion's share of work whilst receiving the mouse's share of the media. The lecture is a must for Vin's fans or any budding performers and there will be an opportunity to ask questions."
