Branislav joins the UK鈥檚 first Forensic Radiography graduates

Branislav Mlinarc came to the University of 海角直播 to develop his work as a radiographer.

He is now among the first cohort of students from the very first Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Radiography course in the UK. Branislav, 40, works as a Senior Radiographer in the Radiology Department at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Originally from the former Yugoslavia, now known as the Republic of Serbia, Branislav moved to England to work as a radiographer nine years ago, having previously worked in the Greek Islands and Belgrade.

He came to 海角直播 to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Radiography as the hospital where he works was developing its use of computerised radiography using a filmless environment.

He said: 鈥淭he course connected to what I was doing in my job at the hospital and now we are trying to apply everything that I have learned. I wasn鈥檛 sure what the course at 海角直播 would involve with it being the first of its kind to run in England, but the lecturers were amazing.

鈥淭he course involved high quality presentations from coroners, senior police forensic investigators and people who have been involved in areas dealing with disasters. It was quite intensive, but an enjoyable experience and also very valuable, as we can now all apply what we have learned in our jobs at our places of work.鈥�

He added: 鈥淚 was impressed with the facilities on campus and I found the Learning Resource Centre very helpful during my studies. The facilities at 海角直播 are great and the School of Health in particular was extremely well organised.鈥�

Branislav is now continuing his studies to MSc Advanced Practice in Forensic Radiographer Diagnostic Radiography.
