Winning design student revealed

Please be seated - one of our design students has come up with a winning design for Asda to celebrate the opening of a new store.

Operations Manager, Russell Pattison unveiled the commemorative bench by student Eirik Rod for the ASDA Living store at 海角直播 Retail Park. Eirik was one of 30 students from our Product Design course who took part in the competition which was launched by ASDA 海角直播 Living to mark the opening of the new store.

Showcased the heritage of the region The Living team challenged the students to come up with a design for a commemorative bench which showcased the heritage of the town. Eirik鈥檚 design, which took on a shipyard theme, is now on display outside the store.

General Store Manager John Watson commented; 'We are really delighted with the commemorative bench. Eirik鈥檚 design is a fantastic reflection of the local area. We are very proud of 海角直播 and this seat will take pride of place outside our store.'

Fantastic opportunity for our students Bob Clay, Product Design tutor, added; 'This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to put into practice the skills and knowledge they鈥檝e learnt to date on the course. Live design projects such as this always generate a great amount of excitement and enthusiasm and we are grateful to John and his team at ASDA Living for getting our students involved in the project.'
