Outstanding Student Services team shortlisted for national prize

Good luck to our Student Services department which has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

The department is up for Outstanding Student Services Team at the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards. The winner will be announced during a lavish ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday 17 June.

Garry Toulouse, Director of Student Services, said he was extremely proud of his team.

He added: ‘I think it validates what the staff have been doing – it is saying to them that what they believe in and what they have been engaged in really has value.’

Mark Hawkings, Head of Sport and Well-being, said: ‘I think it is absolutely fantastic that we have been nominated in the first instance and I’m really pleased we will be there at the ceremony and in with a shout – we will have to wait and see what happens on the night.’

The success of Student Services in the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards follows on from º£½ÇÖ±²¥ winning University of the Year and Outstanding Employer Engagement Initiative of the Year at last year’s Time Higher Awards.
