Graduates will work in the University for three months, during which time they will gain vital work experience while being paid.
Professor Eileen Martin, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Learning & Student Experience) who has responsibility for graduate employability in the University said:
鈥楢t 海角直播, we recognise that getting that first foothold on the career ladder is a big step and we aim to provide a whole range of support for graduates towards this end, and access to our careers service for information and advice remains available for a full two years after a student has graduated.
鈥楬owever, in these difficult economic times we are looking for even more new ways to support our graduates into work and these internships will be a valuable new addition to the support services we offer.
鈥榃e understand employers are often looking for experience alongside qualifications and internship schemes are a valuable route for graduates to combine that experience with the degree they have achieved.鈥
