Ready, steady, click for camera competition

As final preparations for the 2012 Olympic/Paralympic Games gather pace, º£½ÇÖ±²¥ is calling on amateur photographers to capture on camera what this historic event means to them.

º£½ÇÖ±²¥ aims to encourage people living, working and studying in Darlington to visually depict what inspires them about the Olympic/Paralymic Games in a new photography competition. It follows the success of a similar competition held last year to mark the opening of the University’s £13m five-storey Darlington campus, when people were asked to submit photographs reflecting what Darlington means to them.

Entries for this year’s Olympic theme photography competition are in four age categories: • 8 - 10 years • 11 - 16 years • 17 - 21 years • 22+ years.

The closing date for entries is 30 April. A winner from each category will receive photography vouchers.

The winning entries will be announced and displayed at the University's Darlington campus open day on 11 July.
