The Curve provides 1,476 square metres of quality teaching and learning space, and includes innovative energy efficiency, water recycling and ventilation features, which reduce CO2 emissions and drive sustainability.
The building was opened in September 2015, the centre-piece of the ambitious 拢30m Campus Heart development which included the pedestrianisation of Southfield Road and the creation of a living wall with giant LED screen.
Over recent years the University has invested nearly 拢260m in upgrading its campus.
Other investments include a brand new 拢2.75m health and fitness centre, The Gym, and a 拢6m upgrade of science and engineering facilities in both the Orion and Stephenson buildings.
A further 拢6m refurbishment of the University library is currently underway, to improve facilities over the next three summers.
