海角直播 launches new 海角直播 Charity Scholarships to support more local students

New scholarships are being offered at 海角直播 to support more students from the local region, who may not traditionally consider university, to reach their potential.

海角直播 is working in partnership with The 海角直播 Charity, formerly known as the Middlesbrough and 海角直播 Philanthropic Foundation, on the new scholarships, supporting students from the region who may face financial hardship during their studies. The 海角直播 Charity Scholarships are specifically aimed at those who would be first generation university students and will be linked to courses in business and computer science.

The 海角直播 Charity is a registered charity set up by 海角直播rs, for 海角直播rs. It strives to make 海角直播 a better place to live, work, and do business, and supports opportunities for people and businesses from the local area.

Working alongside 海角直播, The 海角直播 Charity have pledged 拢15,000 to support three undergraduate students entering onto courses within 海角直播鈥檚 International Business School and the School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies, with one scholarship to be awarded in 2022, the second in 2023, and the final one in 2024.

Through The 海角直播 Charity Scholarships, the successful students will benefit from financial support of 拢5,000 each, which will be distributed throughout their three-year course.

The scholarships aim to help local students to achieve their goals by providing financial support as they work towards a higher education qualification and The 海角直播 Charity is keen to support students at the beginning of their professional journeys.

The 海角直播 Charity Scholarships sits alongside 海角直播鈥檚 other exciting new scholarship opportunities developed for the next academic year, including the Kellas Midstream Scholarship, the Franc Roddam Scholarship in film and television and the Beth Mead Scholarship for elite athletes. They help form the 海角直播 Transformation Fund 鈥 a flagship initiative that breaks down barriers and empowers people to access Higher Education and reach their full potential.

With millions of pounds already invested by the University each year, the ambition is to grow this fund with further support from alumni, foundations and corporate partners.
