Long-service Volunteer: Recognising a graduate who has made an outstanding contribution over an extended period of time. Graduates successful in this category will demonstrate the highest personal and/or professional standards of business practice or community cohesion. The impact of this person鈥檚 volunteering may well be cumulative over a number of initiatives and across the years.
Rachael Barker, Head of Alumni Engagement and Stakeholder Development at 海角直播, said: 鈥淲e are excited to launch these awards to recognise the impact of our alumni on the day to day, as well as long term success of the University. It will be a pleasure to consider the nominations and reflect on the stories behind each nomination.鈥
We are excited to launch these awards to recognise the impact of our alumni.
Emily Claughan, Alumni Engagement Assistant, who supports the University鈥檚 graduate volunteering programme, added: 鈥淲e know former students have given back to the University for many years and continue to do so today. Whether supporting as a guest speaker, sitting on a governance board, or perhaps taking part in informal mentoring, we鈥檇 like to say thank you to all of those who help strengthen our community and programmes.鈥
The Alumni Volunteer Awards are designed to recognise graduates who embody the University鈥檚 values and are true ambassadors for 海角直播. They will also represent what the University stands for in terms of 鈥榤aking a real difference to the lives of people and the success of businesses and the economy鈥.
Nominations for the Alumni Volunteer Awards close at 5.00pm on 22 March 2024, with a selection panel considering nominations ahead of a celebratory event, planned for late Spring.
