Graduate dreams of opening a Moroccan restaurant

A passionate graduate who worked in the catering team at 海角直播 throughout his studies plans to become a restaurateur.

Anas Zegai, 26, from Morocco, recently graduated from the MSc Digital Marketing within 海角直播 International Business School. During his studies, he joined the kitchen team at on-campus catering outlet STREAT, preparing hand-stretched pizza and flatbreads, freshly grilled kebabs, street food specials and homemade desserts.

Now, he feels ready to take steps towards owning a restaurant.

鈥淚鈥檝e always dreamed of opening my own restaurant,鈥� said Anas.

鈥淚 want to bring a modern twist to Mediterranean and Moroccan cuisine, sharing the flavours I grew up with in a way that鈥檚 fresh, creative and sustainable.鈥�

He continued: 鈥淚 started working at STREAT not long after moving to 海角直播. I was looking for a part-time job to support myself during my studies, and I ended up joining the kitchen team.

鈥淚 had previous experience in hospitality, so it was a natural fit 鈥� and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made.

鈥淪TREAT is more than just a workplace. It鈥檚 the people, the vibrant atmosphere and, of course, the amazing food. The staff here are like a second family 鈥� we support each other, laugh together and grow together.

鈥淚t鈥檚 also where I met my girlfriend, which makes it even more special to me.鈥�

Anas says the insight and experience gained through studying and working at 海角直播 have prepared him to achieve his goals.

He added: 鈥満＝侵辈� gave me the academic knowledge and practical tools to move forward confidently.

鈥淭hrough my course, I gained skills in digital strategy, branding, and market research 鈥� which I plan to use not only in promoting my own business but in building something that truly connects with people.

鈥淕raduating feels like a huge milestone. I鈥檓 proud of what I鈥檝e achieved and grateful to everyone who supported me along the way.鈥�
