Hassan said: 鈥満=侵辈 offered not just academic rigour, but a peaceful, affordable place to study. I鈥檝e never regretted that choice
Hussein added: 鈥淲e did our homework and looked at the course, the support systems, the cost of living and the more we learned, the more it made sense to make the switch. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Sometimes Plan B is just Plan A in disguise.鈥
Hassan, who work as a pharmacy dispenser within a large supermarket chain, said: 鈥淭he DBA has enhanced my attention to detail, improved my communication with patients, and strengthened my decision-making under pressure.
鈥淏alancing part-time work with research deadlines, and family life wasn鈥檛 easy, but it taught me resilience, structure, and purpose. I鈥檝e come out of this journey more focused and more confident in who I am and what I can contribute.鈥
Hussein, who works with an admin team in the NHS, said: 鈥淭he DBA has refined my analytical mindset, strengthened my leadership confidence, and equipped me to contribute more meaningfully to organisational goals. It鈥檚 been a powerful bridge between theory and real-world impact.
鈥淚 chose this degree because I wanted to grow professionally and sharpen the skills that matter most in leadership roles. I wasn鈥檛 just looking for a certificate, I wanted knowledge that would empower me to lead with confidence, make strategic decisions, and inspire others.鈥
Hussein added: 鈥淭he Student Life Building was my favourite spot. Whether it was grabbing a snack, chatting with fellow students, or just taking a breather, it offered a great balance to the intensity of research and study.
鈥満=侵辈 wasn鈥檛 just a place to study. It became a place where I could grow, feel like I belonged, and find real inspiration. What started as an unexpected journey ended up being one of the most rewarding experiences I鈥檝e ever had.鈥
Hassan added: 鈥満=侵辈 gave me more than a degree; it gave me a sense of belonging. I got to explore the region for the first time, meet amazing people, and get involved in volunteering through university-led opportunities. That work supporting vulnerable people was incredibly meaningful.鈥
Hussein added: 鈥淲hat made the experience truly unforgettable was sharing it with my twin brother, Hassan. We were in it together from start to finish. We celebrated the wins, powered through the sleepless nights, and kept each other going when things got tough and motivation started to fade.
鈥淗aving someone by my side who understood exactly what it felt like - the pressure, the passion, and the purpose - meant everything. It wasn鈥檛 just about earning a degree. It was about going through something meaningful together.鈥
