More than 30 Black women students at 海角直播 have benefited from a new support initiative delivered through a partnership between 海角直播 Students鈥 Union and Women Today NE, an organisation founded by 海角直播 graduate Locardia Chidanyika. The initiative, led by Emmanuel Ahiabuike, Students鈥 Union President International, provided students with free food boxes and essential menstrual hygiene products, helping to address practical challenges that can impact student wellbeing and success.

The scheme reflects a shared commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive student experience, ensuring students have access to the resources they need to thrive both academically and personally. Students who received support welcomed the initiative, highlighting the positive difference it has made to their university experience.

Speaking about the project, Emmanuel said: 鈥淪eeing the smiles and appreciation from the women was a powerful reminder that leadership is about making a real difference in people鈥檚 lives.鈥

The project was delivered in collaboration with Women Today NE and its founder, 海角直播 graduate Locardia Chidanyika, with plans in place to develop the initiative into a regular monthly programme to continue supporting students and addressing their needs.

By working closely with community partners such as Women Today NE, 海角直播 and the Students鈥 Union are helping to foster a culture of belonging, remove barriers to participation, and create opportunities for students from all backgrounds to succeed.
